When artist Maggie Barrett (75) breaks her leg, her husband Joel Meyerowitz (84), the world-renowned photographer, becomes her caregiver. Now in their later years, Maggie and Joel face the practical and emotional truths of life together. The film reveals an intimate and deeply human portrait of love and aging, and of two people trying to find a shared sense of peace while there is still time.
