PRESENTS

DRACULA

and

kontinental ‘25

by acclaimed auteur
RADU JUDE

For Immediate ReleaseFilms We Like is honoured to announce the acquisition of two films Dracula and Kontinental ‘25  by fearless provocateur Radu Jude (Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World) which have both been selected to premiere at the  2025 Vancouver International Film Festival.

Dracula is a brash, genre-blurring comedy-drama—a satirical riff on the Dracula myth set in contemporary Transylvania. The film unfolds as an anarchic montage of sketches, cabaret bits, AI-generated parodies, and grotesque vignettes that dismantle the legend of Vlad the Impaler with uproarious excess. Think zombie-infused labor strikes, tourist-trap vampire hunts, kitschy folklore, AI distortions, and vulgar humor. Radu Jude deploys this kaleidoscopic chaos to critique cultural appropriation, historical spectacle, and the commodification of myth

Kontinental ’25  is a sharp, morally charged comedy-drama centered on Orsolya, a bailiff in Cluj, Transylvania. After evicting a homeless man—who tragically commits suicide—Orsolya is plunged into deep guilt and embarks on a haunting personal odyssey through the city. Her midlife crisis unfolds in surreal, dialogue-driven encounters with family, friends, a priest, and a former student, all while wrestling with themes of gentrification, housing insecurity, nationalism, and moral hypocrisy. Shot with austere realism (even filmed on an iPhone), the film serves as a biting parable of societal indifference and the limits of compassion.
