This is the trailer for the upcoming feature documentary VineLife: the Story of a Vintage. VineLife tracks the odyssey of the 2011 vintage in Canada’s Niagara Peninsula through the eyes of three winemakers in the early phase of their careers. Rob Power (Creekside Estate Winery), Shauna White (Ravine Vineyard) and Casey Kulcyk (Jackson-Triggs Winery) reveal the techniques they use to craft award-winning wines that express the unique character of this as-yet undiscovered New World wine region. Featuring appearances by chefs Jamie Kennedy and Mark Hand.

VINELIFE: THE STORY OF A VINTAGE captures the stories of three intrepid winemakers as they launch their careers in Canada’s Niagara Peninsula. Through stunning cinematography highlighting Niagara’s spectacular landscape, the film tracks the odyssey of one complete vintage — from the vineyard to the table. A candid observational style takes the viewer behind the scenes of several craft-based wineries to reveal the punishing stresses of long workdays, erratic weather conditions and a market swamped by foreign competition. Through the painstaking process of crafting their award-winning wines, each winemaker reveals their tireless efforts to express Niagara’s unique terroir.
