Lors d'une fête du Nouvel An organisée par sa mère, Lucas, un jeune policier, perd une lettre que personne n'était censé lire. Dans le contexte étouffant de cette fête familiale, rechercher cette lettre fait resurgir des souvenirs d'un passé qu'il a tenté d'oublier : quelques mois plus tôt, alors qu'il travaillait sous couverture dans les toilettes d'un centre commercial, Lucas avait arrêté des hommes en les séduisant. Mais lorsqu'il rencontre Andrew, tout change. Ce qui commence comme un autre piège devient quelque chose de bien plus électrique et intime. Alors que leur relation secrète s'intensifie et que la pression de la police pour procéder à des arrestations s'accentue, Lucas se retrouve déchiré entre son devoir et son désir. Le temps presse et son passé le rattrape. En ce soir de réveillon du Nouvel An, tout ce qu'il a enfoui menace d'éclater au grand jour.
